In a spacious industrial building is located the project to host a space dedicated to the light and its planning design for CIEB offices and showroom.
The space is filled with a anti-light element par excellence: the darkness. Walls, ceilings and floors are pitch black, almost covered with black dust, soot absorbing light, in this space floating in obscurity appears a over 100 m. long wall of pure light and brightness, like a photometric curve becoming three-dimensional.
The long wall in white glossy lacquer becomes the support for “events” dedicated to show the lighting possibilities, the colour changes, the intensity and light quality trough innovative lighting devices.
Behind a tall wall dedicated to outdoor lighting is placed the vertical staircase space, between two black walls pierced by a guardrail of light, the steps carved in white marble blocks becomes solid elements yet source of immaterial light.
The meeting room located on the mezzanine floor faces the entrance and the main showroom space, glass walls on three side, a black wood floor that turns into the wall and a large white marble table bending on the wall to accommodate a lcd screen.
On the mezzanine level are the offices and archive as well.
A project celebrating light in a cross reference between physicality and illusion surprising the visitor and introducing him in a magical and always changing space.
